Roulette.

No one is quite sure where the game of roulette was born.  Some point to the early 17th century in France and credit its creation to a French mathematician.

Roulette is a french term for "small wheel."  Other historians believe that the game was developed in China and was brought to Europe by monks who traded with the chinese merchants.

Regardless of its origens,  the french are credited with developing the game which eventually evolved into the roulette game we accustomed to nowadays.

The game of roulette became one of the most popular games play during the 18th century because of its popularity with Prince Charles of Monaco.

This Prince introduced the game to his kingdom in hopes that it would create a relief to the kingdom’s economic distress.

The most modern version of Roulette that we in the United States are accustomed to playing did not appear until the mid-1800’s and became even more popular during the Gold Rush in California.

Roulette continues to be one of the most popular casino games around. Perhaps the most well-known games in roulette are the American roulette wheel and the European roulette wheel.

Although the games are similar in nature, they do have differences in rules and payouts.

One major difference in the two games is the color of the chipsAnother difference is that in the European version of the game, the dealer uses a stick to swipe away chips, and in America they simply use their hands.

These are not huge differences and the rules are basically the same. Roulette can be fun and can be a great way to win big for the high-rolling, serious gambler.
